Why physiotherapy treatment?

Besides providing an individualized physiotherapy treatment and prescribing therapeutic exercise program, physiotherapist also provides advice and education on preventing re-occurrence of your injury or prevention of future injury.

Getting treatment prior to surgical procedures improve your functional level which gives you a better starting point to recovery. Post surgery rehabilitation enhances an effective recovery and optimize your surgery outcomes.

Education for caregiver is also available.

What causes vertigo/dizziness? How can physiotherapy help?

There are 3 canals and crystals attached to the fine hair-like structures in our inner ear. These structures are responsible for determining where we are in space and balance. If these crystals accidentally break loose and enter one of the canal, it will cause dizziness.

Physiotherapy treatment (vestibular rehabilitation) consists of  manual techniques and exercises that can help move the crystals back to where they should be and treat the condition and improve your balance.
